Nursing Instructor/Assistant Professor- Pediatric and Maternal/Child Health (Fall/Summer Contract)

The Nursing Instructor/Assistant Professor – Pediatric and Maternal Health position will teach assigned courses in a manner that facilitates student learning and mastery of course material in Nursing, with a focus on the specialty Nursing area, to include one or more of the following: Pediatric and Maternal/Child Health, along with the ability to teach Fundamentals and basic Medical/Surgical Nursing. Faculty also participate in course and curriculum development, management, program and course assessment, student advisement, college service, and professional development. This position holds a FallSummer Academic year contract.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • A master’s degree, or its equivalent, in an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution is required. Doctorate or terminal professional degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduates of all abilities; community college teaching experience preferred.
  • Exhibited evidence of continued professional growth and development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the use of innovative instructional techniques and technologies, and the use of course management systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the use of a variety of teaching activities to address diverse learning styles.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the incorporation of information literacy resources, technology, research, writing, and culturally diverse perspectives into the curriculum.
  • Knowledge of competency-based education preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continual assessment of the teaching-learning process.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations, such as underresourced groups and first-generation students.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a comprehensive community college philosophy.
  • Current non-encumbered licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Clinical expertise in nursing with a focus on Pediatrics and Maternal/Child Health required, experience in Basic Medical/Surgical nursing, and the ability to teach Fundamentals of Nursing preferred.

Coordinator of Procurement & Auxiliary Services

The Coordinator of Procurement & Auxiliary Services is responsible for coordinating and supporting collegewide procurement, capital project/construction documentation, bidding and contracting activities, and auxiliary services administration. The role ensures compliance with purchasing policies, grant and audit requirements, and internal controls while supporting cost-effective sourcing, vendor management, and operational efficiency across departments.

*This position has been approved for a flexible work option arrangement. Flexible work options can be ended at any time by the College, Cabinet, and/or supervisors based on employee performance and/or as institutional needs change.
**This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and off-site locations. Location will mainly be at the Blue Bell campus.
***This position requires a credit history check.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred; an associate’s degree (or credit equivalent) is required.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in procurement, purchasing, and contracts.
  • Administration, construction project support, or related business operations experience, preferably in higher education, public sector, or another regulated environment required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of competitive bidding processes (RFPs, IFBs), contract documentation, vendor relationship management, and/or obtaining quotes is required; experience in a nonprofit environment is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting construction or capital project documentation and closeout processes preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to foster a cooperative working environment.
  • Ability to work independently to establish priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles, competitive bidding procedures (RFP/IFB), contract documentation, and vendor management practices, with the ability to support grant-funded procurement, construction project documentation, and auxiliary services.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and vendors, resolve operational issues, and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with campus departments, vendors, and service partners.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
