Fairhill estate, a stunning Wayne home believed to have hosted a campaign speech by President John F. Kennedy, is on the market for $5M.

Fairhill, a stunning Wayne home believed to have hosted a campaign speech by former President John F. Kennedy, is now on the market for $5 million, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Completed in 1903, this five-bedroom, six-bathroom stone residence spans 6,155 square feet and was designed by renowned Philadelphia architect Wilson Eyre, best known for the fountain in Logan Square and the Penn Museum.

“The house to me carries that historical legacy and that prominence,” said listing agent Sarah West of Compass. “It’s very Pennsylvania in that it’s a very understated elegance. Every time I step into that house I can imagine that event happening in it.”

The property is perfectly nestled on six attractive acres, just a mile from downtown Wayne.

The main floor features a study, living room, and formal dining room. The chef’s kitchen, family room, and breakfast room are connected by gorgeous stone archways.

Additionally, the primary suite on the second floor includes a Juliet balcony off of a sitting area and a sunroom with exposed stone and lovely views of the property.

This level houses three more bedrooms, while the third floor features a fifth bedroom.
