Trusted Land Transfer President and CEO Faith Hammes and Executive Chairman Bob Marino have announced the company’s fourth title company M&A deal in less than three years, marking another major step in its continued growth and expansion strategy.

Following the acquisition of Plymouth Group of Quakertown in June 2023 and Brennan Title Abstract of Cherry Hill, N.J. in June 2024, TLT is now merging Lawyers Settlement and Abstract of Pittsburgh into TLT. Hammes and Marino re-acquired TLT from Finance of America in May 2023.

The merger will increase TLT’s annual revenue by more than 33 percent, underscoring the company’s dual expansion strategy through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Lawyers Settlement and Abstract will merge into and operate under the TLT brand.

As part of the transaction, Brett Solomon, President and CEO of Lawyers Settlement and Abstract, will join TLT as President of the combined company. With more than two decades of experience in the Greater Pittsburgh title industry, Solomon is widely recognized as a leading expert in local title transactions and real estate law.

“This merger represents an exciting new chapter for my business and me,” said Solomon. “It was vital to me that I partner with a company that shares my same values and client-focused business model, and that my team in Pittsburgh would stay fully involved in our local transactions. Joining Trusted Land Transfer is a natural progression for the growth of both of our businesses. This partnership also benefits our clients by expanding our geographic footprint, giving them access to Trusted Land Transfer’s offices in Philadelphia, Ambler, and Cherry Hill, N.J. Faith and Bob bring a wealth of experience in large commercial title transactions and an aptitude for M&A that will further strengthen our ability to grow our business.”

“We are excited to welcome Lawyers Settlement and Abstract into the Trusted Land Transfer family,” said Hammes. “We’re equally thrilled that Brett will join the combined company as President. His deep knowledge of the Pittsburgh market and his team’s reputation for excellence will be invaluable as we continue to expand. Over the past 18 months, Bob and I have worked closely with Brett in both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh to align our vision — building a stronger, more comprehensive company together.”

“This merger continues our major growth trajectory,” said Marino. “When you consider that Faith and I reacquired Trusted Land Transfer from Finance of America in May 2023, this is effectively our fourth title company acquisition in under three years. With our entry into the Pittsburgh market, this merger also brings the second-largest metro population area in the state of Pennsylvania to Trusted Land Transfer. We will continue pursuing strategic opportunities that expand our markets, revenue, and service offerings. Most importantly, we are proud of our incredible team that integrates new title businesses into TLT while growing organically and providing the best service to our clients in the business.”

TLT’s monthly title volume will increase from approximately 100 to 135 transactions, and the number of full-time employees will increase from nine to 12.

Licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Florida, and Washington, D.C., Trusted Land Transfer provides comprehensive commercial and residential settlement services.
