Girl Scouts Open Cookie Season with Huge Delivery in Valley Forge

Girl Scouts of Eastern PA kicked off this year’s cookie season with a major delivery in Valley Forge totaling more than 25,000 packages.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania kicked off this year’s cookie season with a major delivery in Valley Forge, reports Jill Croce for FOX 29 Philadelphia.

According to organizers, the delivery included approximately 25,000 preordered packages packed with popular favorites such as Thin Mints, Samoas, Peanut Butter Patties, and several other well loved varieties. Additional shipments are expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

The official start date for the annual cookie season is January 15, continuing through March 8, with over 154,000 cases of cookies planned for distribution to local troops by the time the season officially opens.

Proceeds from cookie sales will support Girl Scout programs, events, camps, and leadership opportunities throughout 2026, providing girls with hands-on experiences that teach valuable life and business skills.

A new cookie has also been added to the roster this year: the Explorer More’s, a sandwich-style creation inspired by Rocky Road ice cream.

Cookies are available through local troops or can be ordered online at girlscoutcookies.org.
