‘Flipping Farms’ Makes Family-Friendly TV Magic in Gilbertsville

Flipping Farms highlights big farm renovations and the warm, selfless father-daughter bond between Jeff and Rachel behind the show.

At its heart, Flipping Farms isn’t just about transforming rural properties. It’s about the relationship between a father and daughter who genuinely enjoy building businesses together. Led by Jeff Peiffer and Rachel Lynn, the TV series blends ambitious farm renovations with humor, heart, and a refreshing emphasis on family. And the family fun all takes place in Gilbertsville.

Unlike traditional renovation shows, Flipping Farms focuses on transforming working farms into functional, imaginative spaces that keep their agricultural purpose intact. Projects lean toward the unexpected, from reimagined horse facilities to ambitious ideas like turning silos into multi-level man caves. About a third of the show centers on renovation, while the rest highlights Jeff and Rachel’s dynamic as business partners and family members, along with interactions with the surrounding community.

That tone is intentional. Jeff and Rachel say the show was created to offer something family-friendly. Flipping Farms is a contrast to reality TV that relies on conflict. Instead, it highlights collaboration, problem-solving, and positive relationships, whether between family members or with the surrounding community.

Rachel always knew she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps. “Growing up, I knew college wasn’t going to be for me,” she said. “I knew my dad never went to college. He didn’t even graduate high school, and he was successful. So I knew I wanted to be a mom, I wanted to be a wife, and I wanted to have my own business.”

The secret to working closely with family: selflessness. Both believe successful family partnerships require a “give and give” mindset — putting the good of the family and team above individual ego.

“For Rachel and I, we’re constantly looking out for the other,” Jeff said. “We don’t critcize or put each other down. If there are areas that we think the other could do better, we share that with them, but we do it in a loving way.”

“You need to both be wanting what’s best for the whole,” Rachel added.

The show came together organically. What began as a business venture turned into a series once the realities and unpredictability of farm ownership became too compelling not to share.

Currently streaming on Amazon, Flipping Farms is expected to expand to additional platforms soon, offering more viewers a warm, entertaining look at what happens when family, faith, and creativity come together – on and off a Gilbertsville farm. Season 2 starts filming in April 2026.
