New Thai BYOB Manorah Brings Southern Thai Flavors to Bryn Mawr

Manorah, a new Thai BYOB in Bryn Mawr, is serving bold southern Thai flavors in a warm, intimate setting on the Main Line.

The quiet opening of Manorah brings a new addition to Bryn Mawr’s dining scene, writes Ed Williams for Main Line Today.

The Thai BYOB brings bold southern Thai flavors and a refined-yet-welcoming atmosphere to the heart of the Main Line.

The restaurant is the vision of married couple Jae and Virin Cha, who transformed the former Silk Cuisine space following a four-month renovation. Inside, Manorah balances elegance and comfort, with softly spaced tables, Asian-inspired murals, family photographs, and a calm ambiance that feels removed from the bustle outside.

Virin’s culinary training shapes a menu that elevates Thai classics while spotlighting southern Thai cuisine, known for its spicier, more assertive flavor profiles. Familiar favorites like pad Thai are artfully presented, while dishes such as red curry duck and tamarind-glazed tiger prawns add depth and variety. Vegetarian options, including Eggplant Volcano and Massaman curry, round out the menu, making it approachable for a wide range of diners.

As a BYOB, Manorah invites guests to bring their own wine or beer, with no corkage fee. While parking can be limited out front, nearby lots offer convenient alternatives.
