Bryn Mawr’s Club House Redefines the Modern Manicure

Club House in Bryn Mawr debuts the region’s first waterless nail studio, blending skincare principles with sleek, wellness-driven design.

Bryn Mawr’s beauty scene got a refresh this summer with the opening of Club House, the region’s first waterless manicure and pedicure studio, writes Gina Lizzo for Main Line Today.

Founded by Ashley Palumbo and Kristin Jenkins, the concept takes a wellness-first approach. Club House treats hands with the same care as a skincare routine, all inside a sleek, members-club-inspired space.

Palumbo says the idea was a long time in the making. “I’d been carrying it around for years, quietly collecting all the little things I wished existed in a nail salon but couldn’t seem to find anywhere,” she said. “So, I created it.”

The difference from traditional salons is striking. Treatments use hyaluronic acid serums and French and Korean skincare staples rather than quick fixes. Red-light therapy for hands and collagen-boosting add-ons set Club House apart, too.

The “waterless” approach means nails aren’t soaked. Instead, steam preps the skin and cuticles, preserving the nail’s protective barrier while extending polish wear. Every tool is either single-use or sterilized with hospital-grade equipment—another nod to hygiene and safety.
