When taking a trip up to New Hope to visit the Bucks County Playhouse, stop by next door into the Ghost Light Inn and its in-house restaurant Stella of New Hope, writes Anne E. Hill for Main Line Today.
This pet-friendly boutique hotel offers 12 rooms featuring stunning views of the Delaware River paired with a delicious dining experience.
Brunch is available from Friday to Sunday, with dinner served from Tuesday to Sunday. Enjoy mouth-watering desserts and dishes like spiced duck breast, prime rib, oysters on the half shell, and more.
The inn gets its name from its neighboring theater and its ghost light, which perpetually shines on the stage to allow ghosts to perform at night.
Guests and their animal friends can enjoy the Dog Lovers package, which includes fresh treats from Lahaska’s Me & My Dog Bakery, a Ghost Light bandana, collar, leather doggie bag, and a voucher for a pet portrait from a local artist.
On Sunday, Dec. 7, from 12 PM to 3 PM, Stella is bringing back its Claus & Paws event in collaboration with Lambertville’s animal welfare organization, Animal Alliance.
Pet owners can bring their animal companions for a free photo with Mr. and Mrs. Claus on Stella’s outdoor patio, with a gorgeous backdrop featuring Christmas decor and a cozy fireplace.
Donations of $10 are encouraged to support the organization’s efforts. Several dogs up for adoption will be in attendance, looking for a forever home.
