Stephanie Farr, a columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer, takes her after-Thanksgiving traditions seriously and one of them is enjoying Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches.
Inspired by one of her readers, she undertook the tasty task of ranking some of the most popular Thanksgiving hoagies in the Philadelphia area.
Out of 7 local sandwiches, Capriotti’s “The Bobbie” earned the second top spot in her list.
The Bobbie features shredded turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo on an Italian hoagie roll.
Far in her review, wrote, “I got the eight-inch heated version (the ‘Hot Bobbie’) for $10.19 and was not only floored by the taste and quality but by the sandwich’s ability to keep it all together during the consumption process.”
The Wilmington, Delaware-based Capriotti’s has two Montgomery County locations: North Wales and Royersford.
There are also shops in Delaware and Chester counties.
Fink’s Hoagies located in the Tacony section of Northeast Philly took the No. 1 spot with its “Finksgiving” hoagie.
