Montgomery County’s dining scene took center stage in Main Line Today’s latest roundup of must-try eats, highlighting three local favorites that prove great flavor knows no borders.
In Conshohocken, Hook & Ladder Sky Bar literally sets the bar high with The Fireman Burger. The sandwich is a $99 splurge that’s as over-the-top as it sounds. The wagyu patty comes wrapped in gold, crowned with a butter-poached lobster tail, truffle aioli, aged cheddar béchamel, and a crisp onion ring. It’s a culinary spectacle worth the indulgence at 46 Fayette Street.
Over in Merion Station, Hymie’s Deli continues its decades-long reign as a local legend. Since 1938, the family favorite has served up unforgettable Reubens with five variations in total, including the “Best of Both Worlds,” stacked with corned beef and pastrami. Guests can also try the “Latke,” which swaps rye for a golden potato pancake.
And for breakfast lovers, Nudy’s Café remains a Montgomery County morning staple. With locations in Conshohocken, Ardmore, and Audubon, Nudy’s wins hearts (and appetites) with its lineup of decadent French toasts, especially the carrot cake variety that keeps regulars coming back.
