Fanatics CEO and Bryn Mawr native Michael Rubin is taking his company’s flagship fan event to the next level, writes Alex Weprin for The Hollywood Reporter.

Fanatics and OBB Media have signed a 10-year partnership that guarantees the continued expansion of Fanatics Fest. The annual sports-culture spectacle held at New York’s Jacob Javits Center has become a hallmark event for the sports memorabilia community. The event returns in July with an added fourth day tied to the global buzz of the FIFA World Cup.

The festival has quickly become a magnet for A-list athletes and entertainers. Past editions have drawn stars like LeBron James, Tom Brady, Spike Lee, Kevin Costner, Jay-Z, Travis Scott, and NBA phenom Victor Wembanyama. The star-studded guest list reflects Rubin’s unparalleled reach across sports and entertainment.

OBB Media co-produces Fanatics Fest and serves as its official content partner. It has helped elevate the event with original programming, including an ESPN all-access documentary. Rubin said OBB has amplified the festival’s energy and storytelling, adding that both teams share a commitment to pushing the fan experience forward.

Fanatics launched the festival in 2024. Over the next decade, both companies say they plan to scale Fanatics Fest into an even bigger global destination for sports fans.
