The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County is inviting professionals to take part in Leaders on Board, a six-week interactive training program designed to prepare participants to serve on nonprofit boards or strengthen their impact in existing board roles.
The program kicks off on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 5:30 PM and will be delivered virtually via Zoom. Each session will be led by Liz Vibber, a nonprofit consultant from the Catalyst Center for Nonprofit Management who brings extensive experience guiding organizations and individuals in board governance, strategy, and leadership.
Serving on a nonprofit board offers significant personal and professional rewards. Participants in the training will learn how to promote social responsibility, expand professional networks, encourage collaboration, and enhance project and team management skills. For current board members, the program offers an opportunity to sharpen communication skills and maximize their contributions to the organizations they serve.
The Leaders on Board program reflects the Chamber’s commitment to building stronger community connections through volunteer leadership. Nonprofit organizations rely heavily on skilled, engaged board members to advance their missions, and this program is designed to equip participants with both knowledge and confidence to step into those roles.
The cost to register is $99 per person, with applications and additional details available at the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County.
