Wawa’s New Travel Center In North Carolina Set To Be Largest Format Facility To Date 

Wawa will open its first-ever travel center in Hope Mills, North Carolina, the Delaware County company’s largest format facility to date.

Wawa will open its first-ever travel center in Hope Mills, North Carolina, making it the Delaware County company’s largest format facility to date, according to a staff report from the Charlotte Stories

The 8,000-square-foot complex at 630 Chicken Foot Road will open on Aug. 28. 

Wawa’s new prototype will serve both professional drivers and everyday travelers, offering an advanced high-speed diesel court for commercial trucks, weigh stations, and free tractor-trailer parking, with a pet relief area also available. 

The Hope Mills location is step one in Wawa’s plans to invest over $675 million in North Carolina in the coming years.

The company already plans to construct additional travel centers throughout the state. 

Special events and exciting promotions will mark the grand opening of the complex.
