The Philadelphia Phillies have partnered with California lifestyle brand Aviator Nation on a cobranded collection of retro-style apparel that is set to launch later this month, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Hoodies, sweatpants, and T-shirts from the limited-edition Aviator Nation x Philadelphia Phillies collection will debut July 21 and 22 at an in-stadium pop-up shop at Citizens Bank Park.
The shop will open 30 minutes early near Gate 3B ready for both games against the Boston Red Sox. Items priced between $83 and $200 will also be available on MLBShop.com starting from July 21.
The apparel is handmade in California and reflects the Phillies’ legacy and the “iconic retro vibe.”
According to Michael Harris, the Phillies’ vice president for marketing, the team established a partnership with Aviator Nation to be able to offer fans something “fresh and distinctive.” He added that the collection “honors tradition while embracing modern design and cultural relevance.”
Aviator Nation, known for its 1970s-inspired retro apparel, was founded in Venice Beach in 2006 by Paige Mycoskie. In addition to its partnership with the Phillies, the brand is also collaborating with the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Red Sox, and Texas Rangers.
