Angelo’s Pizzeria owner, Danny DiGiampietro is expanding in every direction, writes Michael Klein for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
DiGiampietro recently confirmed he’s planning a new pizzeria in Conshohocken. The move builds on his takeover last year of the longtime Conshohocken Italian bakery, where his team now bakes bread for wholesale clients and delivery.
The Pizzeria business is also expanding into New Jersey. DiGiampietro recently purchased Di’Nics Roast Pork & Beef in West Collingswood Heights. The plan is to take over immediately and work on a rebuild.
“I’m going to neon the (place) up and we’re going to have fun,” said DiGiampietro.
Angelo’s South Philadelphia location gained national recognition when Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy reviewed their pizza on his One Bite Pizza Reviews YouTube series. Portnoy called the pie, “the best pizza in Philadelphia.”
DiGiampietro recently teamed up with Jenkintown’s Bradley Cooper to open a cheesesteak shop in Manhattan, Danny & Coops.
Now, expanding into Conshohocken, Montco residents have a short trip to try some of the best.
