Montgomery County native Mindy Baiada took the stage at the Tony Awards as Maybe Happy Ending won Best Musical, writes Alicia Vitarelli for 6abc Action News.
Baiada, one of the show’s producers, accepted the top honor alongside director Michael Arden – her longtime friend and creative partner.
The two began their creative journey here in Pennsylvania. “Michael and I worked together when we were teenagers doing Summerstock,” Baiada said. “And here we are producing together on Broadway. I don’t even think I had dreams that big.”
In addition to Maybe Happy Ending, Baiada also produced Sunset Boulevard, which took home the award for Best Revival.
