Power Street Theatre in Philadelphia is bringing a new musical to theater lovers, and before its world premiere in 2024 at Temple University, you can see a special concert presentation of Siluetas at Theatre Horizon in Norristown, writes Blair Ingenthron for Broadway World.

Siluetas is written by award-winning playwright and Power Street Theatre cofounder Erlina Oritz and Robi Hager, a Broadway performer and composer.

The musical inspired by the art of Ana Mendieta will star Tony Award-winning performer KO “Karen Olivo.”

Performances are slated to start May 31, 2024, at Temple University, but you can get a sneak peek on November 3 and 4 at Theatre Horizon in Norristown.

During the special concert reading, you will be quickly immersed into the story of Dinora, a Cuban American immigrant and Khalilah, a Syrian refugee, who move in together during a rife political time.

The trilingual musical is about “forgiveness, radical love and the true meaning of home,” according to Theater Horizon.
