Through 2025, Montgomery County families can experience Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown at half the regular admission price, according to a staff report from NBC10 Philadelphia.
The new discount for local residents was announced by zoo officials earlier this week. Montgomery County residents can get half-price admission for Elmwood Park Zoo – owned by the Norristown Zoological Society nonprofit – now through the end of the year, they said on Wednesday.
According to zoo officials, the discount has been made possible by the generosity of the late Frank Engro, a businessman and longtime Montgomery County resident.
Engro and his wife, Paige, also played a key role in funding the zoo’s Frank & Paige Engro Veterinary Health Center, which officially opened its doors last year.
