Scale Tippers, a private strength club in Oaks, is gearing up for its first bodybuilding show this Saturday, reports Aunyea Lachelle for NBC10 Philadelphia.
Dave Battle opened the gym just over a year ago and it has already grown to become one of the premier bodybuilding facilities in the area.
“We are the leading facility for the best equipment, best atmosphere,” said Battle. “Little smaller and a little more intimate than a corporate gym, but it’s a really good community of people that are looking to improve their physique.”
The size of the gym also offers a better one-on-one experience for its members.
“The joke for me is that I’m the janitor, I’m the HR manager, I’m the owner, I do it all, and I like to be personable and meet my members,” said Battle.
The gym’s first show will take place at Rotwitt Theater at Rosemont College on March 15, and it will only be for natural bodybuilders.
“I’m a proponent of natural bodybuilding,” said Battle. “They’re body-tested events, the playing field is nice and level, and it’s good for your long term health.”
Watch the entire segment at NBC10 Philadelphia.
