Thirteen-year-old Ethan Kim from Upper Dublin took the internet by storm with his electric airport speech ahead of the Eagles’ Super Bowl game, write Cherise Lynch and Johnny Archer for NBC10 Philadelphia.
The clip of Ethan’s interview on Friday has gone viral with nearly a million views on NBC10’s TikTok page and close to 80,000 views on Instagram.
It was the teen’s birthday when he was asked by NBC10’s Yukare Nakayama to lead the famous Eagles chant before he and a group of Eagles fans boarded their flights for New Orleans.
Ethan was happy to oblige, and he followed up the chant with a powerful speech that brought him Internet fame.
“This is our time,” he said. “This is our house. We got protection. It took the Avengers two times to beat Thanos. Two times and this is our second time going and facing Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl. Let’s go, Birds!”
Ethan said in a later interview that the words came from his heart since he is a huge Eagles fan.
“My friends actually asked for my autograph today because of how famous I got on TikTok,” said Ethan.
