Poppa Frank’s American Kitchen, a new breakfast and lunch spot in New Hope, officially opened its doors over the weekend at the former Duck Soup Cafe location in the Logan Square shopping center, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
“It’s going to be a fun place to enjoy good food,” said Frank Cosner, who purchased the restaurant from the owners of longtime local favorite Duck Soup.
The new eatery will continue serving many beloved dishes from Duck Soup, including quiches, omelettes, and peach pancakes, while also bringing new recipes to the menu.
“I know (the former owners) were worried about someone buying it and turning it into a franchise,” said Cosner. “They’re amazing people. They really served the community for 40 years. It was a family restaurant, and they were very much interested in keeping it the same. And I plan on doing that, while putting my own spin on it, but the basic core is breakfast and lunch.”
The new menu, made with help from head chef Nancy Keen, also includes breakfast sandwiches, build-your-own burgers, cheesesteaks, Moose’s homemade chili, and much more.
