Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is seeking applications for the following positions: Director of Workforce Development – Information Technology, Part-Time CISCO Academy Administrator, and Hospitality Institute Program Coordinator.

Director of Workforce Development – Information Technology

The Director of Workforce Development – Information Technology will work to sustain, develop, and grow programming. These will include non-credit courses, certificates, contract training with industry partners, and apprenticeship models
that will allow students to earn and learn as they enter the information technology field. Guided by labor market intelligence and with the input of industry advisors, the director will work collaboratively with workforce colleagues, and other college administrators and faculty to continue to build industry-relevant learning paths for students and content for industry partners. They will be responsible for planning, developing, supervising, and evaluating workforce information technology programs.

*This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and offsite locations. The location will mainly be at the Blue Bell campus.

**This position has been approved for a flexible work option arrangement. Flexible work options can be ended at any time by the College, Cabinet, and/or supervisors based on employee performance and/or as institutional needs change.

***This position requires the PA Child AbusePA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances to be submitted to human resources prior to the first day of employment.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Master’s degree with at least two years of work experience in the information technology field.
  • Current technical knowledge in information technology (programming, networking, web development, cloud computing, operating systems, databases, cyber security, etc.).
  • Three or more years of experience in an academic environment in program management is preferred.
  • At least one computer industry certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CISCO Networking Academy is preferred.
  • Experience in teaching information technology courses is preferred.
  • Experience in curriculum development, educational methodologies, and assessment preferred.
  • Demonstrated administrative, problem-solving, team, and organizational skills.
  • Proven skills in handling detailed tasks and multiple assignments.
  • Established interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated record of being able to work well with people in a service organization.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various types of individuals and companies.
  • Valid driver’s license and insured automobile required for travel.

Part-Time CISCO Academy Administrator

The Part-Time CISCO Academy Administrator is primarily responsible for conducting training and supporting partners within the CISCO Academy to ensure compliance with the CISCO Networking Academies operating and quality standards

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in classroom and/or informal educational settings using computer-assisted instruction.
  • CCNA and CCIE certifications are required.
  • At least two years of experience teaching Cisco or other informational technology programs is required.
  • At least one year of management experience preferred.
  • Experience in curriculum development in the field is preferred.

Hospitality Institute Program Coordinator

The Hospitality Institute Program Coordinator is responsible for providing a range of services to enhance the efficiency and administration of the daily operation of the Hospitality Institute. Reports to the Director of the Hospitality Institute. This key position will coordinate all the non-credit offerings including summer camps, teambuilding, etc. This role will attend area school recruitment events and assist the director with daily administrative tasks. A Program Coordinator is a multifaceted role that involves overseeing various aspects of program planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role works with professional staff, faculty, and students at the Hospitality Institute.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Two to three years of professional experience as an educator.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred in the culinary, restaurant, food service, or hospitality industry).
  • The position requires morning, evening, and weekend availability to attend special events internally and externally.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and drive to and from destinations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of technologies, including data management systems, learning management systems, and MS Office suite.
