A group of Eagles fans who could not make it downtown for the parade instead joined others at the Regal King of Prussia Movie Theater for a watch party, writes Katie Katro for 6abc.
“I wanted to be with other fans,” said Angelo Perone, of Honey Brook. “I’m here with my family, my wife and kids.”
The fans donned their favorite green gear and settled in to watch the 6abc live stream of the parade.
“This was a wonderful thing for the movie theater to allow us to come out and watch this as a collective as a unit and just celebrate our team,” said Bettina Merritt, of Northeast Philadelphia. “We won, go birds.”
For the kids, the movie theater was the perfect setting for family bonding.
“I’m happy because like we all get to spend family time together as a unit,” said Sir-Ethan Merritt, of Northeast Philadelphia.
Viewers were especially impressed by the speeches.
“You have former Eagles players, celebrities, you have political officials, so it really brings everybody together in the city,” said Blair Alston, of Lansdale.
