Sisters Carole Algier, Sue Katein, and Kathy Lanyon, owners of Full Spirited Flavours, released their memoir CakeWalk: A Fully Baked Memoir, writes Peg Degrassa for the Daily Times.
The book chronicles the sisters’ childhood struggles in the 1950s, their resilience through life’s challenges, and their journey to founding their successful liqueur-infused cake business.
From farmer’s markets to appearances on Rachel Ray and the Food Network, the sisters share hilarious, heartbreaking, and heartwarming stories about their road to success. Readers will follow their journey while celebrating sisterhood and the power of positivity.
“The book is a testament to the transformative power of sisterhood, the resilience forged through adversity, and the invaluable lessons unearthed amidst life’s trials,” said Emmy Award-winning comedian Theresa Hummel-Krallinger.
Residents of Montgomery and Chester counties, the sisters remain as spirited as their cakes.
The bakers-turned-writers will host a book signing at the Plymouth Meeting Barnes and Noble on February 1.
