TikTok Star and Pottstown native Loren Gray talks about the struggles of living in a centuries-old farmhouse in Pennsylvania.

TikTok star and Pottstown native Loren Gray has shared insights into her life since moving into a 300-year-old, formerly abandoned farmhouse in Pennsylvania, writes Marianne Garvey for Realtor.com.

In 2022, she purchased the property which had been neglected for years until a contractor restored it. Gray expressed admiration for maintaining the house’s historical integrity, calling it “beautiful when people care about history.”

Despite its charm, the farmhouse poses unique challenges. One major issue is the lack of built-in storage. Gray needed to convert the attic into a makeshift walk-in closet using racks and wooden boxes. The low attic ceilings add to the inconvenience, prompting Gray to joke, “If your closet doesn’t give you concussion when you walk in, is it even a closet?”

The house also has low doorways due to its age, forcing even the petite influencer to duck frequently. The property features a “summer kitchen,” once used to cook during hot months, now transformed into a cozy living space.

Sharing her renovation journey on social media, Gray highlighted how the kitchen’s transformation from two rooms to an expansive, entertaining space is one of her most significant updates. She splits her time between the farmhouse and her home in Los Angeles.

Gray’s success includes brand deals in beauty and fashion, earning $2.4 million in 2019 alone, according to Forbes.
