CBRE announced the sale of The Shoppes at English Village in North Wales to Nuveen Real Estate from MetLife Investment Management.

CBRE announced the sale of The Shoppes at English Village, a prominent 103,325-square-foot, Trader Joe’s-anchored shopping center in North Wales, reports Linda Lindner for ROI-NJ.

Global investment management firm Nuveen Real Estate acquired the property from MetLife Investment Management.

The retail center is located in Montgomery County and is leased to high-profile tenants like LensCrafters, Athleta, CycleBar, Hallmark, and Talbots.

CBRE’s National Real Partners team, led by Chris Munley, Colin Behr, and others, managed the sale. “The Shoppes at English Village is a true jewel in the heart of Montgomery County, one of the best areas to live in the state, distinguished by its rich history, affluence, and robust economy,”  Munley said.

The buyer, Nuveen Real Estate, emphasized the center’s alignment with their grocery-anchored neighborhood strategy. “The addition of English Village further diversifies our Northeast exposure and adds yet another premier grocer to the portfolio,” said Ryan Boan, U.S. Head of Retail Transactions at Nuveen Real Estate.

CBRE also secured financing for Nuveen. Behr expressed gratitude for the smooth process, calling the property a “generational piece of real estate.”

With its prime location and dynamic retail mix, The Shoppes at English Village remains a standout destination in the region’s competitive retail market.
