Scenes of the Schuylkill Art Show Celebrates 20th Anniversary
The annual Scenes of the Schuylkill art show celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, reports the Pottstown Mercury.
The event is hosted by the Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritage Area. This juried exhibition invites artists to showcase the beauty, history, and people of the Schuylkill River watershed through their art.
Selected works will be on display at Montgomery County Community College’s North Hall Gallery in Pottstown. The show runs from November 4 to November 30.
The show’s juror, Kristen VonHoen of ArtFusion 19464, will select prize winners to be announced during the artists’ reception on Nov. 14, which runs from 6 to 8 p.m. During the reception, guests will have a chance to meet the artists and purchase artwork.
SRG’s events and development coordinator, Alex Shandera, expressed excitement over the milestone, noting, “It’s really incredible to see all the different ways that artists capture and express the beauty of the Schuylkill River Watershed.”
The North Hall Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 7 PM. Hours on Fridays are from 9 AM to 4:30 PM.
The Scenes of the Schuylkill exhibition highlights the region’s natural beauty and the vibrant talents of its arts community.
