How’d You Like to Make $2,500 for Eating A Wawa Gobbler?

Wawa Gobblers are in a contest by SIXT rental cars to find a "Gas Station Hoagie Hunter" to review food from Wawa and two other chains.

SIXT rental cars is holding a contest to find a “Gas Station Hoagie Hunter” and they need someone to hunt down the best Wawa Gobbler, writes Stephanie Farr for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Apparently, SIXT is willing to pay someone $2,500 to eat Gobblers and talk about them.

A SIXT spokesperson said SIXT wants to “celebrate the popularity and return of Wawa’s Turkey Gobbler, as well as gas station orders and subs in general.”

The trigger for the contest appears to be a marketing strategy targeting “gas station food connoisseurs.”

Other items to be scrutinized by the “Gas Station Hoagie Hunter” will include turkey hoagies at QuikTrip, that operates in the Midwestern, Southern, and Western United States, and Weigel’s, a chain based in Tennessee which has 68 stores there.

The winner will be required to visit specific stores chosen by SIXT.

The hunter will be required to judge Wawa, QuikTrip and Weigel’s based on preparation speed, filling quality, bread quality, “overall deliciousness”, and customer service. Stores will be judged on atmosphere, menu size, value for money, average wait time and overall amenities.

A winning hoagie will be chosen from all three chains based on quality and customer experience.
