The Jenkintown School District is among the best in Pennsylvania, according to a new Niche list, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.
Niche’s 2025 Best Schools and Districts rankings place Jenkintown in eighth place in Montgomery County and No. 31 in the state.
The school district was given an overall letter grade of B+ by the platform that connects students and families with colleges and schools. In specific categories, Jenkintown received an A+ grade in College Prep and Administration, an A grade in Academics and Teachers, a B+ grade in Clubs and Activities, along with a B grade in Diversity.
The school district also placed at No. 23 in the state for best places to teach and at No. 154 for the most diverse school districts in Pennsylvania. In Montgomery County, the school district ranked as the fifth best place to teach and the fifteenth most diverse district.
The Jenkintown School District is a public school district with 710 students in grades K-12 and a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. According to Pennsylvania test scores, 72 percent of its students are at least proficient in reading and 56 percent in math.
