A Delaware County golf course scored high enough to rank within the top ten.
Ardmore’s Merion Golf Club East ranked number six on the list.
This perennial standout nationally hosted the U.S. Open in 1981 and again in 2013. The Open will make its return there in 2030, according to Golf Digest.
The course has even more legendary ties: It’s where English golfer Justin Rose won with a 72-hole total of one over par.
The course has 18 holes and was opened in 1912. It ranked fifth best golf course in the U.S. for 2015–2016. It also ranked in first place in Pennsylvania four times and ranked second in every other edition.
