Jenkintown’s Hiway Theater welcomes all horror fans to their second Terror Thon, reports Glenside Local.
The event takes place Friday September 27 through Saturday September 28th and caters to all different subgenres of horror.
The two-day movie marathon kicks off Friday with a special screening of Bucks County paranormal investigator Eric Mintel’s documentary exploring the Jenkintown Library. The library has a history of reports of disembodied voices, and shadowy figures. The documentary will discuss these stories and more of the library’s history.
Following the documentary, Hiway Theater will screen “The Evil Dead” followed by “Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight.”
Saturday’s marathon kicks off at 10:30 AM with “Mad Monster Party.” 1931’s “Dracula” follows before moving into more modern classics like “Scream 2.”
However, fans of spooky cinema don’t have to wait until the end of the month to go to the Hiway Theater. “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is playing now through September 26.
The Hiway Theater is member-supported and owned by Renew Theaters which also owns the Ambler Theater. Members of the theater receive special pricing for Terror-thon.
