Horsham Celebrates 25 Years of Safe Passage with Retiring Crossing Guards

Horsham Township celebrates over 25 years of service from two crossing guards who are retiring from aiding children on their way to school.

Horsham Township recognizes two staples of the community, reports Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.

After over 25 years of service, crossing guards Ed Henry and Nick Zollo are retiring. The township recognizes the two for their consistent dedication to Horsham pedestrians.

Henry has worked with the township’s police department for 25 years, and Zollo started a year prior.

During their September 11 meeting, the Horsham Township Council honored them both. Officials spoke of Henry’s reliability and longevity in the community. Of Zollo, officials said that he left “a favorable impression” to those he aided and with whom he worked.

In particular, Henry and Zollo helped children on their way to Hatboro-Horsham schools.

“Ed and Nick made it their top priority to ensure our children get to school safely,” officials said.
