Brandywine Valley SPCA, with its home base in West Chester, recently partnered with the Animal Adoption Center (AAC) in Lindenwold, Camden County, making it the only animal welfare organization to work in three states: Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey, writes John McDevitt for KYW Newsradio.

AAC, established in 1985, has facilitated over 16,000 pet adoptions in the past 35 years. Meanwhile, BVSPCA, with multiple campuses, has placed more than 16,000 pets into homes last year alone. Together they will be able to boost adoptions and give more animals the loving homes they deserve.

The collaboration aims to enhance animal care, increase adoptions, and introduce community programs such as vaccine clinics and spay/neuter services to reduce unwanted litters and support pet owners.

“We just know we can help this struggling small shelter do better,” said spokesperson Sara Smith.

Earlier this year, BVSPCA expanded into central Pennsylvania through an affiliation with the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, offering more lifesaving initiatives to areas and pets that need it.
