John Battagliese, Chester County native and former Broadway performer, has joined QVC as one of its youngest hosts.

John Battagliese, Chester County native and former Broadway performer, has joined QVC as one of its youngest hosts, debuting in October, writes Tim Chan for Rolling Stone.

His warm and relatable style has quickly made him a fan favorite. It helps that he blends his theatrical background with social media-savvy communication to connect with viewers.

He grew up near QVC studios and has been fascinated by the network since childhood.

Landing his dream role was no easy feat. While touring with Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Battagliese auditioned via iPhone from a hotel room, advancing through rounds of virtual selling and an intensive two-day boot camp before being selected.

Now, as a QVC Program Host, he sees parallels between his on-air role and Broadway. He focuses on emphasizing live energy, real-time adaptability, and storytelling to build connections with viewers.

“I apply the same storytelling skills I used while working in theater, but now I am sharing real-life anecdotes that I believe will resonate with viewers. At the end of the day, both roles are all about connecting with people,” he said.

Battagliese has the goal of a vibrant, relatable shopping experience that leaves customers feeling valued and inspired.
