Newman's Own brought its "Pay What You Want" pizza truck initiative to Philadelphia on July 1. Proceeds go toward transforming the lives of children.

Newman’s Own, a company known for its high-quality food products and charitable efforts, recently stopped in Philadelphia for its recently-debuted “Pay What You Want Pizza” truck initiative.

The “Pay What You Want Pizza” truck initiative invites customers to set their own price for a slice of pizza.

As part of the initiative, Newman’s Own will travel across 10 U.S. cities throughout the summer.

Newman’s bought four of its pizza options to Philadelphia: Uncured Pepperoni, Four Cheese, Supreme, and Margherita.

All the proceeds will go to the Newman’s Own Foundation, whose mission is to nourish and transform the lives of children facing adversity.

Philadelphia was the sixth stop in Newman’s tour, which kicked off on June 20 in New York City. Other cities that will be a part of the tour include Boston, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and Chicago.

“We’re excited to hit the road this summer with our Pay What You Want Pizza truck,” said David Best, President and CEO of Newman’s Own, Inc. “We can’t wait to share our delicious pizza, celebrate the great generosity in this country, and help even more kids. Come by and enjoy a slice!”
