ABA Centers of Pennsylvania hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Wayne to unveil its newest autism care center. This clinic will provide diagnostic and autism care services to the King of Prussia community and the greater Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.
ABA Centers of Pennsylvania provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism through a play-based approach rooted in positive reinforcement. The organization was founded to disrupt the autism care industry by demolishing wait times traditionally experienced by those in search of a diagnosis or treatment. It’s common for families to be waitlisted from many months to several years to receive these services for their children, but ABA Centers of Pennsylvania typically has a child in therapy within 47 days from the time initial contact is made with the organization.
“We have some parents within our program here that have been on waitlists for two plus years that we were able get into service right away and make drastic changes to their children’s lives,” said Lewis Moffit, Executive Director of the ABA Centers of Pennsylvania clinic in Wayne.
This autism care clinic offers an expansive 8,800 square feet for individualized autism therapy services to take place. The strategically designed center provides children with a vibrant, immersive, and engaging environment to receive the therapy lessons that will help them navigate life on the spectrum and teach them the tools to achieve a robust and fulfilling future. ABA Centers of Pennsylvania opened the doors to its very first autism care center in Bala Cynwyd this past spring and the organization is already serving more than 60 kiddos throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.
“This is a growing zip code and one of the reasons people are coming to Chester County, coming to the Main Line, is to get near providers specifically for their kids. We hear it over and over and over again,” said Josh Maxwell, Board of Commissioners for Chester County. “We’re absolutely ecstatic to have ABA Centers of Pennsylvania as an asset and a support system for our kids, our families, and our friends.”
“The budget that we just passed that increases the amount of money we’re putting into intellectual disability and autism services is really, really important considering the number of individuals being diagnosed with autism continues to go up, so I want to thank ABA Centers of Pennsylvania for being a part of the community,” State Senator Amanda Cappelletti told the crowd.
Summer Cirino, Constituent Services Advisor for State Representative Melissa Shusterman, presented the clinic with a certificate of recognition on behalf of Rep. Shusterman.
ABA Centers of Pennsylvania’s Wayne autism care center is at 999 Old Eagle School Rd. The organization has plans to open one more autism care clinic in southeastern Pennsylvania in 2024.
