Penn Community Bank Officially Opens First Lehigh Valley Location
Penn Community Bank marked its entry into the Lehigh Valley and the opening of its new Allentown Financial Center (3090 Tilghman St., Allentown) with a series of grand opening events.
The week-long celebration included the following:
Official Ribbon Cutting (May 29): Bank leaders and local elected officials gathered to cut the ceremonial ribbon and officially open the doors of the new financial center. Attending were Pennsylvania Senator Nick Miller, Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk, Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong, Lehigh County Commissioner Geoff Brace, and Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tony Ianelli, and more.
Regarding Penn Community Bank’s continued entry into the market, Armstrong stated, “From the heart, I’d like to let you know how much we appreciate the fact that you chose us — to be here — and that you are working with our community.”
Business Mixer & Nonprofit Grants (May 29): Over 100 local business and community leaders joined for a networking mixer, highlighting the bank’s expanding involvement in the Lehigh Valley. In addition to remarks from leaders throughout the Bank, the program included the presentation of two $5,000 grants to local nonprofit organizations: Cohesion Network and Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley.
“Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley appreciates the opportunity to partner with Penn Community Bank,” said Raymond Santiago, Executive Director of Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley. “Their generous donation will enable us to connect more people with essential resources that fulfill their basic needs.”
Community Grand Opening Celebration (Jun. 1): Wrapping up the week, community members were invited to the financial center for a day of food and fun. Lehigh Valley Phantoms mascot MeLVin stopped by, and Philadelphia Eagles legend Mike Quick was on hand signing autographs and talking football. CAT County 96FM broadcasted live, providing music and ticket giveaways. Hundreds of attendees entered to win great raffle prizes, including a PS5, smart TV, and more.
“As a proud Lehigh Valley native, I’m so excited to bring true community banking to Allentown,” said Jeane M. Vidoni, President and CEO of Penn Community Bank. “Building on years of involvement in the region, we’re thrilled to expand our reach and impact in the Lehigh Valley, playing an ever-increasing role in the region’s bright future by providing a community financial partner to help individuals, families, businesses, and entire neighborhoods thrive.”
