These Are Some of the Best Ice Cream Shops in Montgomery County

Despite being a new addition to the scene, Lu & Aug’s in Ardmore has quickly become a neighborhood favorite since opening its shop last year. Beyond its classic cups and cones, the Ardmore ice cream shop encourages customers to take a walk on the “wild side” with treats made from toppings that are mixed, folded, and blended in.
The owner of Gemelli, which has locations in both West Chester and Phoenixville, has been crafting gelato in numerous flavors since 2014. This year, the ice cream shop made it to the finals of the Gelato Festival World Masters. The Ricotta, Rosemary, & Raw Honey flavor just won the judges over.
D’Ascenzo’s Gelato in West Chester, works with a local dairy farm to source their milk, roast ingredients like nuts in-house, and source seasonal fruit to make their rotating flavors.
