A Montgomery County resident is praising an exclusive event for Phillies fans in which she is a 16-year veteran of, writes Racquel Williams for KYW Radio.  

Janice, an Ambler resident, highlighted the enjoyment of the batting cages at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday. 

She joined 140 other female Phillies fans for the exclusive, sold-out “Behind the Diamond” event.

Celebrating its 20th year, “Behind the Diamond” offers women a rare, all-day, behind-the-scenes experience at the ballpark.  

The event included visits to the dugout, clubhouse, field, and batting cages, plus interactions with MLB umpires and the Phillie Phanatic. 

First-time attendee Cindy Brendle appreciated the event’s focus on women. “I’m almost 60, and never had an opportunity like this. It’s a step forward for women,” she said.
