The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB), the destination marketing organization for Montgomery County, has launched a summer-long social media marketing effort designed to educate users about the incredible dining scene in Montgomery County.

Named “Summer Tastes Better in Montco,” the campaign invites residents and visitors in the key drive market of Philadelphia to explore the county’s restaurants, breweries, wineries, and distilleries from Memorial Day through Labor Day via advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

“We know that consumers, especially Gen Z’ers and Millennials, are increasingly turning to social media to discover new restaurants,” said Samantha Cole, VFTCB’s Director of Public Relations. “We’re thrilled to be able to put a spotlight on Montgomery County’s diverse culinary experiences, cuisines, and offerings all summer long in a creative way that benefits not only restaurant owners but social media users alike.”

The area is home to more than 2,000 restaurants and Montco Makers (award-winning craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries), from Ambler and Ardmore to Pottstown and Lansdale and everywhere in between. “Summer Tastes Better in Montco” entices restaurant-goers to explore the melting pot of food offerings like locally owned hidden gems, classic American diners, luxurious steakhouses, quaint coffee shops and bakeries, celebrity-owned establishments, and more. There are memorable dishes and drinks for every taste bud and cuisine craving in Montco.

Additionally, the campaign promotes exclusive dining experiences like The Cooking Studio, a state-of-the-art, hands-on cooking studio perfect for private events, team buildings, bachelorette parties, and more. The Cooking Studio, located in Telford, is owned and operated by Chef Shelby Fahrni, who recently showcased her skills on Food Network’s cooking television game show, Chopped.

The VFTCB worked with AgileCat and Vine PR on the creative assets and social media buy. The social advertising campaign will have a strong presence in the region using targeted ads, including animations, that will be served to users from the @VisitValleyForge accounts. Valley Forge Tourism will also host local foodie influencers at an intimate tasting experience to promote the campaign.

“Summer Tastes Better in Montco” will drive users to Valley Forge Tourism, where they can view a complete list of restaurants, download VFTCB’s annual dining guide, and increase engagement on the organization’s social media channels.
