Montco is Home to Several Theaters Among Top Options to Catch Great Shows in the Region

Act II Playhouse in Ambler is one of the top theaters to visit in Montgomery County.

Montgomery County is home to several theaters that are among the top options to catch a great show in the entire Philadelphia region, writes Jane M. Von Bergen for Billy Penn at WHYY.

Act 2 Playhouse in Ambler is currently working on a production of Forever Plaid, a play about four wannabe basement-band musicians who are working on their arrangements of the greatest ‘50s hits. The show will run from May 21 until June 16.

There are many amazing options to dine or have a drink, both before and after the show that are just within steps of the theater.

Make sure not to miss Priyanka Shetty’s one-woman show “The Elephant in the Room” at Theatre Horizon in Norristown. The play is an immigrant story about Shetty’s difficult and complicated decision to defy the expectations of her family and leave a software job in India to embark on an acting career in America. The show will be on from May 17 to 19.

You can also enjoy some great Mexican food during your outing at nearby Trejo American & Mexican Restaurant, Taqueria La Michoacana, and El Jefe.
