RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles is a show that was created by Lansdale native, Steve Landes.

Steve Landes, a Lansdale native, is returning home this week in the popular and nostalgic show RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles at the Miller Theater, writes Alicia Vitarelli for 6abc.

Landes has been playing John Lennon in the show for over a quarter century.

“I always like to say it’s as if you could get The Beatles to perform their whole career in front of you in the span of two hours,” he said.

A life-long Beatles fan, Landes taught himself to play the guitar when he was 10 by listening to the famous band. And for the last several decades, he has been living his Beatles dream.

Landes sings during the show, as well as plays guitar, piano, and harmonica. He has been doing his versatile act since 1998. He also came up with the RAIN band.

This week, he will play once again in front of the home crowd.

“It’s a lot of fun to come home,” he said. “First of all, Philly audiences are always the best. I mean, that’s kind of how I got into music. And then half of the audience is my family!”
