Hailing from from Ireland, Perry achieved notable successes, including reaching the quarter-finals of the World Open in Belfast in 2006 and clinching the Irish Open in 2007.

However, it was her victory over the world’s then No.1 Nicol David in the British Open’s quarter-final in 2009 that Perry cites as the pinnacle of her career.

This win, among others, propelled her to a career-high world ranking of No.3 in 2011.

Despite retiring in 2015, Perry’s impact on the sport continues.

Residing in the Philadelphia region, she has embraced the structured approach to sports and squash, noting the stark differences and advantages for young athletes in America compared to her early experiences in Ireland.
