Norristown Area School District Robotics Team Took on State Robotics Competition This Weekend

The VEX Robotics Competition took place at Norristown Area High School this past weekend, writes Rachel Ravina for The Reporter via Main Line Times & Suburban.

At the statewide competition, the Norristown Area School District Robotics Club was prepared to shine.

Saturday’s tournament was for high school teams while Sunday’s was for middle school students to compete.

In all 8 Norristown Area School District teams qualified to compete.

“It gives the students a home field advantage at the end of the season,” said the Norristown Area School District Robotics Club coach Tom Auman.

The club has between 55 and 60 students that make up eight high school teams and three middle school teams.

“They’ve gotten way more competitive since I got back here,” said Angel Patel, a Norristown Area High School Class of 2019 who is a mentor of the robotics club.
