Ross Klinger of Willow Grove is KYW Newsradio’s Philadelphia Sports Fan of the Week.

And deservedly so, writes Dave Uram for KWY Newsradio.

In high school, Klinger wanted to empathize with the Eagles playing in the cold during a game, so he plugged in a mini fridge in his parent’s family room and kept the fridge door open.

An engagement party in September had to happen before the 4 PM game.

He agreed to marry his wife-to-be Rebecca on a Sunday, but only in the off-season.

Rebecca jokes that if their young daughter Shaina ever wanted to marry a Cowboys fan, Dad would probably say “no.”

If that seems farfetched, it’s a fact that Ross Klinger once walked out on a first date in college because she was a Cowboys fan.

After Super Bowl LII, Klinger honored his team with a special license plate,” H8CWBYS,” which stands for “Hate Cowboys.”

Now, he’s putting a QR code on his car so people can donate to the Eagles Autism Foundation.

Klinger is a season ticket holder, and daughter Shaina is a member of the Eagles Kids Club because “the Eagles are family,” Klinger said.
