Booth’s Corner Farmers Market in Garnet Valley is a “must-visit stop for foodies and locals,” writes Joy Franklin for PhillyBite Magazine. 

Not only does it offer a “dazzling array of locally grown produce,” visitors can also find handcrafted items and prepared foods, while enjoying a range of music and activities, Franklin writes.

Describing Booth’s Corner as a “treasure trove,” Franklin wrote that the market offers local produce, baked goods, and fresh meats of excellent quality, including an inexpensive homemade sausage sandwich for three dollars plus tax.

“The Market is a treasure trove of local treasures,” she wrote.

The first Booth’s Corner Farmer’s Market was opened by George Philips in 1932, and it remains a favorite with locals.

“This unique, historic Market has become a hub for people from all walks of life,” Franklin wrote.

Franklin also praised Booth’s Corner for its unique and welcoming down-home ambiance

She counted 12 restaurants and more than 20 food booths.

“The Market is a strange blend of stores,” she wrote, “not a typical shopping mall.”

 “You can get everything from country-fresh eggs to bacon. You can buy everything from Thomas’ English Muffins to hot roasted peanuts.”
