The founder of the Main Line Center for Laser Surgery, Dr. Eric Bernstein is launching his own skincare line to improve aged and photodamaged skin, writes John George for Philadelphia Business Journal.

As a clinician and researcher Bernstein has been studying the effects of the sun and the aging process on the skin for years and is now launching his skincare line called Photon Effect.

“A photon is a packet of light energy — and light can do great things for our skin in the form of laser treatments, or damage our skin as evidenced by the effects of long-term sun exposure,” Bernstein explained.

He added that his skincare products “synergize” with the laser treatments and can improve skin with or without in-office treatments. To launch the line, he raised $4.3 million.

To develop the products, he teamed up with scientist Tian Wang, president and founder of L’Onvie.

Photo Effect’s rejuvenating skincare products range in price from $60 to $155 and are available at the Main Line Center for Laser Surgery at Suburban Square.

Bernstein plans on launching the products in 20 aesthetic offices across the country as well.
