Wissahickon Valley Park

The Wissahickon Valley Park offers a sweet escape exploring its 1,800 acres of woodlands, meadows, and streams along the Wissahickon Creek.

Nature lovers can enjoy hiking biking and even horseback riding on the 50 miles of trail in the park. The park is also great for birdwatching.

Valley Forge National Historical Park

Right here in Montgomery County, the Valley Forge National Historical Park is not only the perfect oasis for nature lovers, but it is a favorite among history buffs as well.

Besides all the lush scenery, you can stop by the visitor center, museum, and theater to learn more about George Washington and his army’s stay during the winter of 1777-1778.

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area

If you don’t mind a longer car drive, the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation offers 70,000 acres of forests, mountains, and waterfalls along the Delaware River to enjoy.
