In the 2000s, Richard Tornetta was the drummer in the heavy metal band called Dawn of Correction. Now he is making headlines for being the Tesla shareholder to stop Elon Musk’s multibillion-dollar compensation package.

Richard Tornetta is making headlines for being the Tesla shareholder driving the case to stop Elon Musk’s multibillion-dollar compensation package, writes Ryan Felton and James Fanelli for The Wall Street Journal.

Tornetta is a Norristown native who used to work for automotive companies. In the 2000s, he was the drummer in the heavy metal band called Dawn of Correction.

The band described its music as “loud aggressive rock and roll with a foundation of old metal roots.”

The decision to stop Musk’s pay package was released on Tuesday by Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick in the Delaware Court of Chancery.

The lawsuit which was filed in 2018 alleged that Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla manipulated the approval process, and the board misled the investors of the electric car maker.

Musk denies influencing the amount of his compensation package.

Chancellor McCormick called the approval process “deeply flawed” and agreed to cancel the pay plan worth a maximum of $55.8 billion.
