Construction has already begun on a downtown Pottstown project to convert a former furniture store into apartment and commercial space, according to WFMZ 69 News.

The Pottstown Area Economic Development said that the property at 269 and 305 High Street used to be Lastick Furniture.

The store closed in 2022 and now the two buildings will be turned into market-rate apartments and business space.

The project is being spearheaded by Greg Lingo, president of Rockwell Development Group.

Lingo has also developed the Hanover Square townhouses and commercial space as well as turned a former shirt factory into apartments at Cherry and Charlotte Streets.

The project received zoning approval less than a week ago, according to the Pottstown Area Economic Development.
